You are a famous detective who just solved a big case. But that doesn't matter right now, your lucky sock, the one that has been with you through all of your cases, is missing.  And you refuse to go to your meeting without him.

This game is about letting go of superstition, of self-doubt, of the idea that you need something external to succeed.  It’s a reminder to give yourself credit.  

You are the detective. You solved the case. You showed up.  The sock was never the reason you succeeded.
